Step 1

Get the Hardware

You need a Raspberry Pi (Zero 2 W, 3, 4, or 5), a microSD card (8GB+), and an HDMI display.

Already have a Pi running Raspberry Pi OS? Skip to Step 2, Option B.

Step 2

Install SignBrite

Download our pre-built image and flash it — your Pi boots ready to go.

  1. Download the image file above
  2. Open Raspberry Pi Imager (free download at rpi.io/imager)
  3. Click "Choose OS" → scroll down → select "Use custom" → choose the downloaded file
  4. Choose your SD card and click "Write"
  5. Insert the SD card into your Pi and power on
Step 3

Connect Your Pi to WiFi

  1. When your Pi boots, it broadcasts a WiFi network called SignbriteSetup
  2. Connect to it from your phone or laptop using password "signbrite" — a setup page will open automatically
  3. Enter your home or business WiFi password to get your Pi online
  4. Your Pi connects to the internet and displays a 6-digit pairing code on the screen

Create an Account & Pair

  1. Sign up at signbrite.io — free, no credit card needed
  2. Create a venue for your location (bar, restaurant, gym, office, etc.)
  3. Click "Pair Device" in your venue dashboard
  4. Enter the 6-digit code shown on your screen
